Power Off and Cool Down
The oven temperature is typically 150-200℃ immediately after cooking. Always disconnect the power and allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning. A sudden temperature drop can affect the normal operation of internal components.
Cleaning the Oven Interior
Clean from the inside out! Note that, except for removable parts, other parts of the oven should not be washed directly with water.
First, remove the racks and baking trays and soak them in warm water with detergent for about 10 minutes to soften stains and dilute grease. Then scrub with a cleaning sponge, rinse with clean water, and let dry.
Alternatively, pour 50ml of warm water and a small amount of dish soap directly into the baking tray, place it in the oven, and bake for 10 minutes. The hot air circulation will automatically clean the grime inside the tray. After 10 minutes, remove the tray, rinse normally, and let dry.
Cleaning the Oven Surface
After cleaning the interior, clean the oven surface and door. Clean the oven using a soft sponge or cloth dampened with a small amount of neutral detergent, then wipe dry with a soft cloth. For particularly stubborn stains, spray the stain with a cleaning agent (do not use spray on baking trays or racks), wait a few minutes, and it will be easily removed. When cleaning the oven, use a cleaner specifically designed for kitchen appliances, avoiding cleaners containing strong alkalinity or corrosiveness. Also avoid using rough sponges, brushes, or sharp metal tools to clean the glass door, as these may damage the oven.
Post-Clean Maintenance
Removing the Oven's Runny Smell. Some people may have experienced this: when baking meat in a home oven, the grease stains are a minor issue, but the "stale oil smell" or "runny oil smell" is unbearable! To remove this unpleasant smell, besides thorough cleaning over a period of time and leaving the oven doors open to air dry, you can also use the following method: Place a bowl of lemon water or a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water, leave the container open, and dry-bake at around 100℃ for 10 minutes. This will remove the odor and leave a faint lemon scent.
