Electric Heating Panel Power Consumption Revealed: How Many kWh Does It Use Per Day?

The power consumption of an electric heating panel depends mainly on its wattage and usage time. The formula is: Power Consumption (kWh) = Power (kW) × Usage Time (hours). For example, a 1500-watt electric heating panel used for 8 hours a day consumes 1.5 × 8 = 12 kWh!

Different power settings also affect power consumption! A low setting of 500 watts used for 20 hours consumes 0.5 × 20 = 10 kWh; a high setting of 2000 watts used for 4 hours consumes 2 × 4 = 8 kWh. An energy-saving electric heating panel with a power of around 800 watts, operating continuously for 15 hours, consumes approximately 0.8 × 15 = 12 kWh. A large industrial electric heating panel with a power of up to 5000 watts, operating at full load for 6 hours, consumes 5 × 6 = 30 kWh!

Common household electric heating pads typically have a power rating of 1000 watts. Using them for 10 hours a day consumes 1 × 10 = 10 kWh. A small 300-watt heating pad, used for 22 hours, consumes 0.3 × 22 = 6.6 kWh. A medium-power 1200-watt heating pad, used for 12 hours a day, consumes 1.2 × 12 = 14.4 kWh. Intelligent temperature-controlled heating pads, which mostly maintain low temperatures (around 200 watts), consume only 0.2 × 24 = 4.8 kWh in 24 hours. A medium-sized 1800-watt heating pad for commercial use, used for 10 hours a day, consumes 1.8 × 10 = 18 kWh. A 600-watt heating pad made of special materials, running continuously for 24 hours, consumes 0.6 × 24 = 14.4 kWh.
