Convection Oven Maintenance Methods

1. Clean your oven regularly: Ovens accumulate grease, food scraps, and dust. This buildup inside can affect the oven's performance and lead to odors and bacterial growth. Therefore, regular cleaning is essential. First, allow the oven to cool completely, then wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Use an oven-safe cleaner, avoiding strong acids or corrosive agents.

2. Clean baking trays and racks: Baking trays and racks often accumulate residue, including food scraps and grease. Regularly remove them and wash them with hot water and dish soap, using a brush or sponge. For stubborn stains, spray with oven cleaner, wait a few moments, then wash. Always ensure baking trays and racks are completely dry before returning them to the oven.

3. Prevent food spills: When using the oven, especially when baking liquids, be mindful of potential spills. If possible, place a baking mat or aluminum foil under the baking tray to catch any spills and prevent them from getting inside the oven.

4. Regularly inspect the oven sealing strip: Over time, the oven sealing strip may age, deform, or wear. If any damage or loosening is found, replace it immediately. Damage to the sealing strip can lead to heat loss, affecting the oven's temperature and energy efficiency.
